Finally, a full week!

 Fireworks graphics

What a joy to have a full week of 'NORMAL' routine.  The kids have gained a lot of on-task time this week and have worked to get to the end of our units in English, UOI and Maths.  Next week is only 2 days of school time but it will be riddled with assessments, really looking forward to it!

We hope you enjoy the few family days that you have together while celebrating National Day. The teachers will be hard at work learning about the wonderful world of science on the Friday while all the kids are sleeping in.

Thank You Mrs Chen

The year group was delighted to share the stories of Mrs Chen's life and how it has framed her beliefs and values.  We all learned so much from her wonderful talk.

Thank you Mr McCoy

Matthew (4C) was proud to present his dad to the Year 4 classes this week. Mr McCoy treated us and helped us to learn more about our UOI by sharing his beliefs and values. Who would have thought that a wallaby could be such a wonderful metaphor for Life. For further information, ask your kids. Thank you Mr McCoy

Random Acts of Kindness

At assembly this week Mr Pheasant presented a wonderful show about random acts of kindness.  Please view the video below and talk about random acts of kindness that you can do as a family.  Remember its the small things you do that have the biggest impact.

Great to see you all!

Thanks to all the parents who put aside their busy schedules to come along to the parent information evening on Tuesday. The information night slides will be appearing soon on the BHS website.  Please remember if you have any questions contact your homeroom teacher.

LEAP

Thursday the Year 4 students had an informative and exciting trip to visit Happy, Healthy, Harold and his friends at the Life Education Center.  Topics included making decisions, the Nervous System and the impact of stress in a child's life.  The final topic stressed the impact of drugs both medical and non-medical which included the impact of caffeine.  What out all you coffee drinkers, the drug busters of year 4 may catch you out!
